I am looking for air conditioning for 2 bedrooms in my house. I want it to be as quiet as possible inside but we live in a very quiet street and I am worried that the neighbours will complain of a noisy outside split unit. What is the cheapest portable unit you do? Is it possible to get split units that are also quiet outside? Please advise including prices and installation costs/delivery dates. Many thanks.

I am not sure where to start really. I would like an air conditioning system for my main bedroom. Depending on how long i want to stay in my house, i want the option to be able to install air con units throughout my home. I don’t really want a standalone one which plugs in , i want them to look quite modern with no wires. I have seen the LG Art cool designs which i think would go with my modern interior, but am concerned about the cost. Obviously if i want something not too ugly and quiet, i can’t get all this for a good price…

I am looking at the cost of a proffessionally fitted Air Conditioning System to our Master Bedroom that measures 3.8m x 3.3m.
It would be mounted to the side of the house, we only have one double socket that is fitted to the opposite wall, would this cause a technical problem and involve a lot of work. Do you also do free no obligation site surveys?
I would like to know the cost that includes VAT

Dear Mr. Pegg,

Thank you for your email to us regarding your interest in air conditioning for your bedroom.

Hopefully some answers to your questions are below:

I am looking at the cost of a professionally fitted Air Conditioning System to our Master Bedroom that measures 3.8m x 3.3m.

You would only need the smallest unit for this size of room. The Daikin FTXS20D would be the ideal solution, with the lowest noise levels and power consumption. I have attached an estimate to this email.

It would be mounted to the side of the house, we only have one double socket that is fitted to the opposite wall, would this cause a technical problem and involve a lot of work?

The mains power is actually to the external unit, not the internal unit. The mains power is not included in our quotation. However we do have approved sub contract electrical engineers available depending on your location. In this example it would be relatively straight forward for an electrician, taking the wire up with our pipe work and into the loft above(?) across to the opposite wall and down the cavity to the existing socket on the other side of the room.

Do you also do free no obligation site surveys?

Normally for a single system of this size we do not require a site survey as we have a standard figure for single domestic installations. I have quoted this on the attachment to this email. However if you are local to us, or our travelling engineers we would offer a no obligation site survey.

I would like to know the cost that includes VAT?

The quotation attached is a fully inclusive price (excluding mains electrical supply) that incorporates the governments new 5% VAT ruling on energy saving products and materials.

I have attached the Daikin sales brochure for that unit that illustrates the noise levels dimensions etc. along with our quotation.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best Regards

Hi
I am looking for a rough price to installing air conditioning to a bedroom, it has easy loft access and the A/C unit could be easily installed on an outside wall to the side of the house a short pipe run through the loft. Electrics are also easily accessible. The bedroom is around 13′x10′.
Thanks
Sean

Dear Mark,

Our company tends to avoid LG if possible due to reliability problems.

If your looking for an aesthetic unit for a bedroom air conditioning application then can I suggest the Daikin FTXSG series (I have emailed you images etc. along with an estimated quotation).

This is a high performance unit at A rated energy efficiency.

Heat Pump systems also benefit from the 5% VAT rule also.

Have a look at the email, and if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best Regards

Simon
