Dear Chris,
Thank you for your enquiry into the TC-N014R remote mobile 8500 btu.
To answer your questions :-
Could you tell me the size of the unit? Height, width, depth ?
(W x D x H) 429mm x 400mm x 750mm
Confirm there is no outside unit, sorry I dont’ think there is but …?
No outdoor unit, just a hose that goes either through a window or wall to vent hot air out.
Does this unit require water to be put in, or perhaps emptied?
No water required to be put in. The majority of condensate is evaporated through the vent hose, however on humid days there is a tank situated inside the unit, that can be emptied via a bung at the back of the system. The unit comes supplied with drain hose to empty the mobile unit of condensate water.
Does TC-T014R ONLY operate by remote control? Very Important for me to know this. Thanks
No there is also an electric panel on the indoor unit, where all the functions can be set or altered, as well as fully remote controlled from a distance of 5m away from the console.
I hope this answers your queries, however please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further questions.
Best Regards

How noisy is the portable unit please? Louder than a computer fan? Similar? Also, would the unit be efficient if placed below a desktop.

Dear Linda,
The noise levels are :-
50 dba on high fan and 34 dba on low fan.
It is like a desk fan on high speed.
Placing it under a desk would not be the best location, as it really needs to be in the environment it is meant to condition, and it might be very uncomfortable for the person at that desk!
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our sales team.
Best Regards
Simon

We have built a log cabin in our garden for our daughter to use as a sensory/therapy room. It measures 7m x 4m,wall height is 3m rising to 4m at the ridge. The building will house a spa/hot tub and as we want to use it all year round we need air con to cool, dehumidify and heat the room. Can you make any recommendations please? Thanks

Dear Debbie,
Thanks for your post.
Is the cabin well insulated?
I would suggest between 7kW and 10kW depending on the heatload of the spa and any other equipment you have in the room. The most cost effective solution would be the wall mounted type system.
I have emailed you an estimated quotation for a 7kW Daikin wall mounted system for you to review along with the technical brochure.
If you have any queries, feel free to post or respond to our email.
Best Regards

Could you also advise me on the best air conditioning product for a 10×8 meter swimming pool room. I too have a jaccuzzi room within the pool room, and was wondering whether the air conditioning system would need to joint or separate. It needs to dehumidify and generally keep the air at a decent level throughout the year.
Please advise
Claire

Hi,
I have an ‘office’ in my garden (ok, its a shed) which is 3.5m x 2.5m. It contains 4 computers which are in constant use. There is one double glazed window sized 1m x 1.2m. The building is east facing (window side, long edge).
Can you tell me if a 10,000BTU portable unit (non-split ~ I will use a tumble dryer style vent for the exhaust) will be sufficient to cool this office during the peak of summer?
Regards
Martin

Hi Im looking for a portable AC unit for the summer, i was hoping you could tell me which is the most suitable for me.
The unit is for a 3×3 bedroom however i also have a PC which puts out a fair ammount of heat when in use, the room is by far the hottest in the house and is in desperate need of cooling are the portable units suitable for my needs with the constant heat output from my PC also ? would this put too much of a load on the portable units? THX Gareth.
